Running out of ideas for Christmas presents? Shop among the products made in France to garnish the foot of the tree! Eco-responsible games and toys made in the heart of forests, natural cosmetics and organic delicacies drawn from the land, fashionethical or even sustainable decoration made in Paris, here are ten online stores to tour France on the short circuit and fill your basket with objects lovingly crafted by artisans from all regions!
Les Échoppes: in the craftsmen’s workshop
Behind the Les Échoppes site, there are three young entrepreneurs who have decided to promote the local market. And inspired craftsmen who have a taste for beauty, goodness and the short circuit, to be met through the videos of the “stall tour”. We travel to Provencewith jewelry from Atelier Akka and soaps from La Manufacture du Siècle or in the Cévennes with Belesa (“beauty” in Occitan), a natural cosmetics brand. And we explore a Parisian workshop with the sustainable decoration of By Tiline, which creates hand-painted glass containers for bulk and porcelain hybrids, one day a candle holder, the other coffee cup!
Provence Store: it looks like the South
What if we made the Provence sun shine on Christmas Eve? With this new online store created in Avignon, it is the Provençal art of living that invites itself to the party. Pottery signed Atelier Pom or Maison Cassar to give a holiday feel to the table, olive wood candles from Senteurs du Sud or lavender comforters by Choco & Lula to smell the scents of the hills, everything is shaped by artists and local artisans. The end of the end? Treat yourself to an ABC culinary box to simmer a Christmas meal smelling of thyme, black figs and Camargue fleur de sel!
The French Apartment: gems on all floors
Made in France seen by Emilie and David, the founders of the French Apartment? It is a treasure hunt that they lead throughout France: from Beauvais to Pornic, their selection drawn between century-old know-how and young designers displays traceability and places of manufacture. Clean Hugs “black eye” soaps designed in Normandy and the South-East or hats fashioned in the heart of Occitania from La Manufacture des Possibles, you can find their locally made nuggets on their site.
The duo also runs the Collectif des Boutiques Made in France, which represents 15 multi-brand boutiques across France to be discovered via an interactive map, to order online or by “click and collect”.
INMA’s digital and ephemeral pop-ups: made in Living Heritage and crafts
The excellence of French know-how at the foot of the Christmas tree? This is what the National Institute of Crafts (INMA) offers with its ephemeral and itinerant digital shops “Excellent! The pop-ups”. From November 13 to December 13, four cities host a selection of products manufactured by Living Heritage Companies (EPV) or recognized Masters of Art.
Decoration, toys, jewelry, fashion, leather goods are in the spotlight during online sales sessions on social networks and streaming and virtual meetings with passionate business leaders! In Lille (13-15 November), Lyon (20-22 November), Paris (27-29 November) and Caen (11-13 December) and to follow, because INMA does not intend to stop there! The replays are available on the INMA website until December 13.
Rose Durantin: poetry and Parisian creation
A stone’s throw from the Place des Abbesses, Rose Durantin is the universe of a dozen designers always ready to share their passion. Limited series, unique and tailor-made pieces, their creations, all made in Paris, have one thing in common: poetry! Collections of romantic, graphic jewelry or inspired by nature and seeds, clothes for women and children as soft as baby’s skin, colorful scarves, you can find something to brighten up the end of year celebrations. If Rose Durantin does not have an online store, her site lists those of the designers sold in the Montmartre boutique.
From Breizh, with love!
“I can’t, I have a storm” warns a sailor top with the Chapline de la Faille logo, “Who has the holen? (Salt)” asks a linen table runner by Ty Coz… With From Breizh, a digital platform for products designed and / or manufactured in Brittany with a boutique in Pont l’Abbé, an offbeat wind is blowing on Breton creation. We revise our Breton by picking something to garnish the shoes and we buy responsibly: between neoprene sweaters from diving suits (Teorum) and jewels in air chambers jagged like a Bigoudène headdress (Dely), your gifts will blow your mind at Christmas !
