Elie Saab on his collaboration with L’Oréal Paris: “I wanted to put a little beauty in a difficult period”

It is a collaboration that we were impatiently awaiting. It must be said that it brings together big names in the fashion and beauty industry: the prestigious fashion house Elie Saab and the famous cosmetic brand L’Oréal Paris, including the artistic director of make-up, Val Garland. Nude, universality, elegance and power… But above all a lot of optimism. Isn’t that the strength of Elie Saab? The Lebanese couturier, who is often described as a genius of fashion, has the gift of infusing a wind of gaiety into each of his collections. Like an ode to life, these limited edition makeup products (an eye shadow palette, lipsticks, glosses, mascara) aim to put a little balm in our hearts in a gloomy era. To tell the truth, they make us want to put on makeup more than ever. Elie Saab and Val Garland tell us about this exceptional collaboration. Interview.

Elie Saab. We have been working with L’Oréal Paris for over ten years. And I have worked with Val for a long time as well. She was perfect for this project because she understands the Elie Saab woman very well. She knows my color requirements, makeup application… It was a very understanding relationship. We are used to working together and more than that, we see the woman in the same direction. It was a very positive collaboration.
