Privacy Policy

How the demo handles data: on your device only, with no analytics and no accounts.

Summary

This Privacy Policy describes the practice of the BreakingNews24hr demonstration site. In short: we do not run accounts or analytics, and the preferences you set stay on your own device.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember a few things. This data is stored only in your browser and is not sent to us.

  • Saved stories
  • Your theme choice (light or dark)
  • Your vote in the reader poll
  • Alert preferences
  • Newsletter sign-up entries typed into the demo form

What we do not do

  • No analytics or tracking scripts.
  • No user accounts or sign-in.
  • No advertising profiles.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data.

Third-party requests

To display the pages correctly, your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts and styling code from the Tailwind CDN. Those providers receive standard connection details such as your IP address, as with any web request. Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

Your control and contact

You can remove all on-device data at any time through your browser settings. See the Do Not Sell or Share page for steps. Questions can go to [email protected].

This policy applies only to the demonstration site. If the project later becomes a live service, a new policy would be published before any personal data is collected, and the changes would be dated on this page. Clearing your browser data resets every preference described above, including your poll vote, so you can try the features again from a clean state.
